But there could be another reason, I think that many guys see women as high maintenance girlfriends, if a woman give good sex/companionship to a guy, he will purchase her all sorts of things (even if she’s economically independent from him). That could be another reason why men pay for sex. I read the French translation of the book The Prize by Natalie McLennan (she was the highest paid escort of New-York – 2000$ an hour – and was raised in Montreal) and all of her clients were very rich guys (most of them married). These guys didn’t need to pay so much to have sex with a woman – a girlfriend would have cost them less than that – yet they paid all this money. I think that sometimes too. It seems that even if the woman IS happy with the guy…..he still thinks HIS “sex and companionship” isn’t enough (for her).
